Meet the Founder and Director

From the Frontlines of Early Years to Smarter Nursery Kitchens.

I didn’t learn about early years settings from a textbook. I learned it on the floor, in the kitchen, and through years of running a successful early year setting. I know exactly what it feels like when the clock is ticking, the budget is tight, and you are trying to balance strict nutrition guidelines with what children will actually eat.

Growing up in Italy, food was always about simplicity, quality, and joy. When I started working in the UK early years sector, I noticed a stark contrast. Many settings were trapped in a cycle of repetitive menus, rising costs, and stressed-out kitchen teams. Parents were anxious, staff were frustrated, and children weren't getting the fresh, wholesome food they deserved.

I knew there had to be a better way. By bringing my Italian heritage into my business and embracing the philosophy of cucina povera—focusing on seasonal ingredients, smart prep, and simple, delicious recipes—I transformed how food worked in my own setting.

Now, I’m taking everything I’ve learned on my journey to help nursery owners and managers. Piccolo Table was founded to give you the practical systems, menu designs, and confidence your team needs to deliver fresh, affordable, and joyful meals every single day.
